University of Southern California Org. Elements The production planning and execution process uses the following organizational elements: Company code - represents an independent accounting unit. Balance sheets and Profit & Loss statements, required by law, are created at the company code level. Plant - produces goods, renders services, or makes goods available for distribution. A plant can be a production facility or a warehouse distribution center. Storage location - units that allow the differentiation of material stocks within a plant.
