Unformatted text preview: One of the personality theories that I choose was the humanistic theory. The humanistic theory means an innate tendency to strive to realize ones potential. It also means that one is self-initiated striving to become all one is capable of being. I think that the humanistic theory is very complex and that there are probably many different out looks on this theory. For example Abraham Maslow argues that people have a conscious need for self actualization, and people see the world as it is. The way I see it is people are going to do anything and everything to get self-actualization for their selves. As he also stated what may be true for one person may not always be true for another person. Humanistic is not something that you can just do an experiment on and get the scientific answers that you are searching for. The only way to get true answers about a persons consciousness is to conduct research and ask them questions. The only person that can evaluate humanistic is you yourself. You cannot just put a persons consciousness under a person that can evaluate humanistic is you yourself....
