Introduction This is the fifth lab for Electronics Lab I, EE 2231. Our main test material was half-wave rectifiers and filter circuits. Objectives The objective of the lab was to study the operation and the characteristic of filter circuits and half-wave rectifiers. Procedures First, we had to connect the circuit in Fig 1and use a 20-V p-p square wave at 60 Hz as the input. Then trigger the scope on external and at a sweep speed of 2 ms/division. Set both channels at 5 V/division, place one probe on the input and the other on the output and observe. Next, you connect the circuit in Fig 2, using the 1 microfarad capacitor first and then the 100 microfarad capacitor. Then, repeat the same steps listed above except instead of using a 20-V p- p square wave, use a sine wave.

Finally, connect the circuit in Fig 3 and set the probes as you did for the previous figures and observe. After observing the output from the circuit, switch the scope to ac and observe the
