In informed condition, participant will not have any emotional experience III. In ignorant condition, have arousal and no emotional explanation. The angry experimenter provides an explanation, so participant should experience anger. Results Placebo (no arousal) Informed: Ignorant: 0-0.75 (Index of Angry Behaviors) Epinephrine (Arousal Present) Informed:-0.25-0 Ignorant: 0-2.25******important part to note**** Other half of participants go through the same proceedure except put in room with happy confederate. The results are the same as above, except deals with Happy Behaviors People As Civilized Beings SELF-regulation: How can I control my behaviors to get what I want SOCIAL-regulation: What does the world want from me? In a civilization, can’t separate these two. Think of a young child, who is dependent on the caregiver, learning how to get what she wants… You can’t make it in the world unless someone allows you to.
