Seattle University Albers School of Business and Economics FINC 540 Investments Review Topics for Mid-Term Exam Winter 2010 Professor J. Yau The mid-term exam is a closed-book exam. No computers, and only financial calculators are allowed. You are allowed to bring a 3”x5” card with formulas on ONE side only. Formulas can only include notations or symbols but not words with more than 3 letters. For example, RTV = RP/SD is an acceptable formula; but RTV=Risk Prem/SD is not. Also, no graphs, words, phrases, clauses, or sentences on the 3”x5” card. Coverage: Chapters 1-4, 5 (s5.1-s5.8), and 6 (s6.1), problem set #1, lecture notes (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3 and Notes 4 (p.1-p.9)), and handouts either distributed in class or posted on ANGEL. 4-5 Questions (may have sub-parts) Question Format: o 50% are short questions on concepts; 50% are computational problems with no more than 10% difference in each area.
