Debate 2009: To drill or not to drill in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge Date : March 10 and 11, 2009 Details : 1. YOU CANNOT MAKE UP THE DEBATE DURING OFFICE HOURS 2. The debate is worth TWO labs (that’s 24 points) We are debating whether or not to drill for oil in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. The class will be divided in half alphabetically. You only have to come to the hour of lab you are assigned to debate. I STRONGLY recommend that you contact your group and meet outside of class to prepare, as you will be graded on the strength of your argument as a group. Please keep in mind that every person must talk at least once. Each student will choose a role to represent during the debate, and prepare by reading articles posted on the websites listed on my website http://students.washington.edu/her or below.
