Relational Operators CSE210W Prerequisites We expect that you are familiar with your protoboard and know how to create a logic circuit with SSI chips. You should also understand the operation of a multiplexer and how to utilize it in your design. Objectives The objectives of this lab are to reinforce the use of muxes as function generators and to introduce the relational operators < , > , =, , , and 6 =. You are also learn to design a circuit to meet certain constrains such as the number of chips. Background In a computer system, whether it is stand alone or embedded within another larger system, a design decision often needs to be made to choose either hardware or software implementation of a function. Software is much more flexible but is generally slower than hardware. This lab assumes the need of producing a fast hardware solution to compare values.
