Stephanie Shum Social Studies 11 Completion Summer 2007 Assignment #8 Part A - Global Warming - Question 2 The last few decades and even centuries have brought an up rise in the discoveries of  technology, medicine, and goods known to mankind. However, inventions such as cars, trains,  factories, and others have been seen to also cause negative effects on our earth, though they  may benefit us greatly as well. Many of us do as much as we can to contribute the least that we  can to the problem, and though it does make a difference, in the long run, if not everyone  cooperates, no distinct difference will be made. Without international cooperation to tackle a  problem as big as Global Warming, we will never be able to restore our environment to a safe  and healthy stage in which it will remain for a long-term period. If it was not a universal effort,  and half the population did not stop their enormous contributions to Global Warming, then their  half of the earth would become unliveable. Therefore, they would have to move to the other half  that were trying to keep Global Warming from happening, and eventually, that half of the world  would become polluted as well. In conclusion, though it may seem to help at first if a small
