You find the randNorm( command by pressing ç , arrowing over to PRB, and selecting 6:randNorm(. You generate n random numbers from a normal distribution with mean and standard deviation s with an expression in the form randNorm( , , n ) . Calculator Note 11B: Augmenting a List The augment command can speed up your work on Activity 11.1b. For example, for Case 1 in Activity 11.1b, first define list L 1 as {0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1}. Define list L 2 as randNorm(10,3,4) —four random values from a normal distribution with mean 10 and standard deviation 3. Similarly define list L 3 as randNorm(12,3,4). Now move the values in list L 3 to the bottom of list L 2 using the augment( command, found by pressing y LIST , arrowing over to OPS, and selecting 9:augment(.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
