Select a researchable problem that merits study and can be investigated using the scientific method ii. Review prior research survey research that has already been done on this topic; we see what has been found and formulate a hypothesis regarding the relationship between two or more variables, which must be clearly defined in terms of measurement iii. Research design- a method that will be used to collect data in order to test the hypothesis iv. Collect data- gathering and recording data in accordance with the research design
