Kassie Halfmann English 101 MWF 8:00AM Marcus Hammond February 26 th , 2010 Evaluating the Website There are many people in our world that don’t know half of our technology. There are many ways to communicate with people other than phones and face to face. Facebook is another way to communicate that a lot of people don’t know about. Facebook is a social networking website that is operated and privately own by Facebook Inc. Users can add friends, send them messages, and update their personal profile s to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, and school or college. I’ve been a user of Facebook for four years. Facebook helps me communicate with the friends that I’ve lost their numbers or even friends that I haven’t talked to sense 5 th grade. It’s a great way for me to re connect with friends or even make new ones. The best part about Facebook is being able to chat with people that are online. Leaving a message on their profile could take them days to respond, but when you’re chatting with them, you get an immediate response. Myspace was launched as a general audience social networking website; it was considered the most popular social networking websites that used to get nearly one billion visits each month.
