Matthew Lingam English 106 Philathia Bolton April 20, 2009 Causes, Effects, Solutions of Global Warming Oh My! For the last few decades the subject of global warming has bought up much controversy amongst some of the world’s smartest countries. The causes and effects of global warming and if it truly exists has been debated amongst many scholars forever. Although this is what the scholars discuss when the topic of global warming arises, others might ask, what is global warming? Global warming can be linked to the phrase greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is when different gases emitted from the Earth get caught in the Earth’s atmosphere and then cause the temperature on the Earth to raise. The common view on this situation is that greenhouse gases are just a natural thing, and that humans have no impact on the effects of global warming. When in reality humans have a huge impact on the effects of global warming, and in the past few years have sped up the process greatly. The relationship between humans
