Purpose: It is important to investigate the physical and chemical properties of gases, once  learned we can use these properties to identify the gases when they are encountered in  future experiments or daily life. Our main focus will be on Hydrogen, Oxygen and  Carbon Dioxide; three of the most common occurring gases. We will generate these  gases using small scale techniques and should thereby be able to identify them easily in  the future. Procedure: I began the experiment by acquiring all necessary materials that I needed to provide  (Hydrogen peroxide, marker, matches, toothpicks, baking tin, baking soda, white  vinegar, measuring spoons and a drinking straw), and then sifting through my ChemKit  to find the provided materials. I will begin by diluting the HCL and inserting the stoppers
