2 UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA Greetings Students! A world-famous educator once stated, “…one can never consent to creep when one feels the compulsion to soar.” At the University of the District of Columbia, we soar! For example, our diverse student population is from more than 104 nations and we have added a Master’s Degree program in Cancer Biology Prevention and Control. The University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Many academic programs are also accredited by professional accrediting bodies including, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC). Most recently, the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law was ranked in the top ten in four categories in the Princeton Review’s 2008 edition of its “Best 170 Law Schools.” Reaching out to college students of the future, UDC launched the District of Columbia’s first Early College High School program with a cooperative agreement with Friendship Edison Charter School. What does this mean to you? It means that your city’s University measures up to the level of excellence by which other universities are measured, and that we continue to build on our successes by adding new programs, and reaching out to not only the District’s community, but around the world. Finally, it means that at the University of the District of Columbia —you are receiving the highest quality education at an affordable cost. As acting president, my commitment to you and the lives of the citizens who annually engage in the wide range of courses and training programs at the University is to continue the momentum by upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and excellence. Indeed we are a world- class University, and I look forward to our working together to make your time and experience at the University of the District of Columbia UDC both rewarding and memorable. What students are saying

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
