Denise Seals Managerial Accounting MBAC5213OL Dr. Lemler March 13, 2009 Week 2 – Summary In week two has proofed to be just as challenging as week one as I enter my quest to understand Managerial Accounting. Week two has broaden my knowledge on different aspects of accounting such as knowing the definition of fixed, variable and mix cost and converting mixed cost into fixed cost. The fun note about Managerial Accounting is you use this information in everyday life and in my case did not realize that I was using the basics of accounting. For example until this week I did not know the definition of a mixed cost but I knew it was possible to have a base cost with variable rates. My boyfriend and I rented a u-haul trailer a couple of weeks ago while at the u-haul store we were trying to decide which we should rent a trailer or a truck. The total cost of the trailer was approximately $24 and the cost of the truck was $19.95 plus the $.69 per mile. The salesman made a comment stating that the truck was
