What actions should be taken in order to increase the morale and motivation level of the clerical staff? I think the best way to motivate and increase morale within the clerical staff is to initiate an incentive program. The fact is the clerical staff will be downsized and everyone knows it, but it is still vital that staff affectively do their jobs. An incentive programs will at least create competition and willingness to stay abreast of their jobs. The incentive program could range from “On the Spot Awards” or “Long term Goal Awards” for completing and understanding the new computer system. Award prizes could range from, gift card, movie passes or time off, for completing a task or long term goal. A miscellaneous fund of $500 should be budgeted in each month to purchase these incentives. In additional the incentive program, the company should give the
