The nature of the orientation problem is lack of consistency with the supervisors giving instructions to the new employees. The lack of consistency causes the employees to be stressed and not confident within their new jobs. Also, the lack of help to learn the new routes and constant pressure from the supervisor caused stress with the new employees. 2. What types of orientation for new employees should direct supervisors provided at the work site? The direct supervisors should provided site specific information concerning the site employees and routes that office covers. The supervisors should provided a mentor or take the initiative to do it themselves to allow the new employees to shadow a carrier to ensure they know the routes and how to distribute the mail. 3.
