The author discusses her findings about the changing relationship between working parents’ work life and their home life She calls those parents “time bind” because they are very obligated to work that they leave little time to themselves and their families She also talks about Amerco company, which has “family-friendly policy” where parents can take parental leave or use “flex time” during work to take care issues in their family. o However, not many people in the company use it and the “flex time” only rearranges the work time but not shorten the work time for many parents In a questionnaire of 3000 parents, she found that many parents are considered “workaholic” and they don’t take advantages to reduce their time at work, why? o Author argues that money/financial reason is not a good explanation because
