EASC150 East Asian Societies TA: Seungji Nam Discussion Sections: [email protected] Wednesday 10-10:50 (WPH 103) Wednesday 13-13:50 (VKC 205) Office Hours in VKC-B42G: Wednesday 11:00-12:50 or by appointment Grading: Midterm on 10/15- 25% Term Paper due 11/19- 20% Final Exam on 12/10- 35% Class Participation- 20% This class may be full of brand new material to you, or perhaps you grew up in one of the countries discussed. Either way, please come to this class with an open mind. Prepare to be challenged and maybe even changed. Discussion section should be a safe environment where we are respectful of each other and where everyone can feel free to share his/her opinions. Disrespectful and insensitive attacks won’t be tolerated. Attendance and participation in lecture and discussion section are very important in this class. If you come to class every week and engage in discussion regularly, you will enjoy the class more and are much more likely to get a higher grade. If you will be absent from section for
