Feedback: This may seem too obvious to bother stating, but it is actually harder to be clear and focused at the onset about the position you will be taking on an issue than it might first appear. The reason is that you have been mulling the issue over in your head for quite some time before you start to write and tend to jump right in. The reader, however, doesn't have all the prior thoughts you have had and doesn't know what you're talking about unless you say so.
