Ryan Alexander Stock Analysis of AIG American International Group (AIG) is a financial firm that offers multiple different types of insurance and financial management services. These services include all of the following: property-casualty insurance, life insurance, asset management, retirement income, private banking, aircraft leasing, mortgages, credit cards, and derivative products to a global client base of individuals and institutions. Insurance makes up the majority of AIG’s sales; however the financial services that they provide are also a very great part of their income. Most of AIG’s insurance sales come from the Asian market because of their very important operations in Japan and China. AIG’s ultimate goal is to provide a wide range of risk management and insurance services to their multinational markets. Also, they will strive to improve their financial status after taking a major loss when the stock market fell substantially over the past couple of years. AIG makes money in several different ways. Most of these services in which make AIG money are listed above. As stated before, they make the majority of their money with their insurance business at around 60 percent. However, their risk management services account for a noticeable portion of their income at about 40 percent. They have also made considerable
