DECEMBER 4 TH ! × From the other day stress in the hippocampus × Negatively affected by long term!! o Stress isn’t a mental thing! Your body reacts to it by what it feels to be a bad situation o If you have two organisms who would do better? The one who deals with stress at hand? Or the one who is worrying about 7 weeks from now? The one who is dealing with stress now. When you’re under stress the system has evolved under stress the primary fuel molecule to generate ATP is glucose. When your under stress and the episode drags on, then cortisol comes out and the cortisol stops the ability of the hippocampus of using glucose Cortisol is the molecular signal that tells the hippocampus to stop o So the activity of the hippocampus goes down Which doesn’t help our STM × Who’s going to survive best? The one who has less stress! The ones who deal with the stress at hand and then move on with the learning. It’s natural selection!

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
