UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO CSC318 DESIGN OF INTERACTIVE COMPUTATIONAL MEDIA Instructor: I. Posner Purpose : To conduct Usability Tests of the System Prototypes, Analyze the results and prepare Usability Testing Results report. To combine all project information into a Project Paper. To confidentially evaluate your group members participation on the group project. NOTE: There are two sections to this assignment. Please read through both of them before beginning. You and your group will need to meet and strategize before completing EITHER of these assignment sections, so make that your first priority. Assignment 5 Recommended Workflow - Summarize the implications from the Usability Pilot Testing conducted in Tutorial March 9 for A5i - In your group decide how best to conduct usability testing, ensure that each group member has the opportunity to conduct some Usability Tests with your Prototype(s). You may choose to have several group members run Usability Tests at the same time using the same participant – make sure you plan who is in charge of what part of the test & assigned what roles for testing purposes. - Plan Usability Testing schedule, - Recruit participants for Usability Testing, - Conduct Usability Tests, & capture data, - Analyze data and prepare results document for A5i - Review individual Usability Testing Results documents and Produce a summary - Produce Group Evaluations - Prepare the Project Report Paper A5g Group Component – Usability Testing Results Summary, & Project Report Paper DUE : A5g must be submitted by email to your TA, and as a hard copy before class Tuesday March 30, 16:00. Please note there will be no Tutorials on March 30. GRADE : 10% of your total course grade – value of each section is shown in brackets below. Usability Testing Results Summary Conduct usability testing of your System Prototypes using your updated Usability Test Protocols and Instruments. Record the results. Analyze your test data and produce your individual Usability Testing Results documents for A5i. Afterwards, review the individual reports and combine your group’s findings into a Usability Testing Results Summary Report for A5g. See Usability Test Results Document templates
