B e h r e n s | 2Social Security Administration IntroductionThe Social Security Administration (SSA) is a federal organization that utilizes three major programs to assist the needs of Untied State (U.S.) citizens. These programs are Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Old Age and Survivor Insurance (OASI), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). While the SSA is ranked as one of the best places to work and has clear goals of “service, stewardship, solvency, and staff”[ CITATION Oak \l 1033 ], it is a political organization and its leaders are political appointees and changing every four to eight years. The SSA is a bureaucratic nightmare with many hoops to jump through and can be infuriating to client’s staff, and anyone trying to work through the claims, denial, and appeal process. In this case we will be looking at the review of Vince Rogov’s application to the SSA[ CITATION Oak \l 1033 ]. Facts 1.The SSA has insufficient resources and outdated technology, over recent years they have been improved, but are still insufficient to the task. There has been over a 60% increases in cases for the SSDI alone in five years, this leads to billions of dollars being distributed and a massive backlog of cases[ CITATION Oak \l 1033 ].2.There is a lack of uniformity from state to state on how the application for disability is sent to the SSA which is an issue for everyone because different states have different
