B e h r e n s | 2Midterm EssayThe ideas, theories, and history of management are important to us because they help managers and those in a position of power understand the current way a business should be run and so they can avoid making the same mistakes as the past. One of these theories is Classical Organizational Theory. It is a culmination of work of numerous scholars that focuses on the organization rather than on the human aspect. Three of the founding fathers for this theory are Max Weber, Fredrick W. Taylor, and Henry Fayol. This paper will discuss these scholars and their contributions to Classical Organization Theory.
