NO is smaller O 2 has a double bond compared to NO’s 2.5 order bond Problem Two – Conjugated Systems (40 points) a. C C C C H H H H C C C C H H C H H The hybridization for each end carbon is sp 2 and for internal carbons is sp. The bond angles are 120 ° for the C-C-H and H-C-H bonds and 180 ° for the C-C-C. b. H 2 CCCCH 2 has coplanar hydrogens because the H-C-H bond plane rotates 90 ° for each n-1 double bond, and there are three double bonds, so the plane rotates 180 ° .
