2010 1 12 1. Study Language III In the textbook (pp. 205-206) to learn how to use to indicate 2 actions done at the same time. There are two important things to keep in mind when using : (a) is only used for actions performed by one person; you cannot use it for actions performed at the same time by di ff erent people (b) the Japanese makes clear that one of the 2 actions is the "primary" or "main" one, and that the other action is done "while" doing the main action. The verb for the "secondary" action is said rst and has attached to it; the verb for the "main" action follows. So, for example, if you are studying and watching TV at the same time, one of the actions has to be designated as the more important or central to your concerns. Hopefully, this is what you want to say: 2. Write 2 sentences in Japanese that include and tell about 2 sets of actions you often do simultaneously.
