1) Ethics is the study of moral values or principles that guide our behavior and inform us whether actions are right or wrong. Specifically, ethics help us “do the right thing.” Ethics apply to business in a sense that it provides a guideline for specific industries and companies to base their rules upon, which is important because often people face dilemmas between what is the right and wrong when trying to achieve the bottom line. 2) The two factors that determine how you decide ethical issues are ethical structure and the set of practical circumstances involved in the decision that you are trying to make. Firstly, ethical structure refers to the basic knowledge of right and wrong you developed while growing up. Secondly, the set of practical circumstances involved in the decision you are trying to make refers to the shady areas in which decisions are neither black nor white. 3) The six practical circumstances that affect how you decide ethical issues are consequences, society’s opinion, likelihood of effect, time to consequences,
