Precursors to synthesis are ATP, GTP, CTP, and UTP o Same as DNA except they have ribose and Uracil 2. RNA Polymerase enzyme used instead of DNA Polymerase o Binds to a DNA sequence of 20-200 nucleotides in length ( promoter and initiates transcription at the promoter called the  transcription  start site
