X Y October 6, 2009 Everyday millions of people of all ages start their day by lighting up a cigarette. I believe that we the people are not taking this habit as seriously as it should be. It’s an issue that is related to everyone, and every society around the world. It’s an issue that affects more people than most we comprehend. Smoking is a habit an addiction that in the long run causes diseases associated with lungs, coronary heart diseases, cancer and of course death. Cigarette smoking is the most important preventable cause of premature death in the United States. According to American Heart Association, cigarette smoking it accounts for more than 440,000 of the more than 2, 4 million annual deaths. Some may argue that the tobacco companies are innocent and it’s everyone choice to smoke or not. How about the second hand smokers, all the high school kids that are underage those are trapped in a responsibility issue. Do they have a choice, or are they able to make a choice? Even if people wanted to quit, it’s hard because once you try it you can’t help yourself and
