Scientists have spent many years trying to understand human behavior. There have been many debates between psychologists on what really shapes a human’s actions. Some psychologist would say that the environment is the cause of human behavior and some would say that heredity is the contributing factor. So which one is it? Many psychologists put huge emphases on heredity, genes, and hormones because this development occurs even before the child is born. Heredity and hormones both have huge influences on human behavior. They both contribute to all of the key elements that shape a person behavior. “Some of these elements are emotions, intelligence, and even certain psychological disorders. In addition they play a key role in personality, attitude and behavior (About Intellegence.2010)”. For my assignment I had to put myself in the shoes of a psychologist and interview a person, close to my own age, to analyze who they really are. The goal for this assignment is to understand how another individual thinks, to understand how they react in certain situation, and identify what kind of personality or attitude they have. In order to accomplish this I asked several personal question, had the interviewee take the Myers Briggs test, and to add some excitement I added the problem-solving simulation. This was a very eye opening assignment that not only helped me to better understand who I really am, but it also was beneficial for the subject that I interviewed. To begin this assignment I ask basic question on the history and demographics of the interviewee. The interviewee name is Kevin Simmonds who is a twenty-eight year old black male. He does not have any children and is currently in a serious relationship, but not yet considering marriage. However, his goal is to be married with two to three kids before he turns thirty-five. The interviewee was born in Jacksonville, FL where he lived with his mother, father and two siblings. He stayed there for the majority of his life. In high school he was not focused

on academics, but enjoyed playing football and running track. Because of the passion he developed playing sports he became very successful at it. He was so good that he received a full ride scholarship to Howard University. However, in his sophomore year he was severely injured causing him to sit out the rest of that year. The interviewee states this is when he realized that an education was very important, because he knew that football may not always be an option. After
