The R.V. Livonia is a 236 Foot long Finnish-built Cruise and Exploration Vessel that accommodates up to 38 Passengers on Cruises and Expeditions from Ushuaia, Argentina to the U. S. McMurdo Base in Antarctica. You departed SFO Yesterday on an American Airlines MD-80 at 11:25 and arrived at Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) at 17:00; you then departed DFW on an American Airlines Boeing 777 at 19:35 last Night and arrived at Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE) at 09:05 this Morning, changed Airports and departed Buenos Aires (AEP) on an LAN-Argentina Airbus A320 at 12:55 this Afternoon and arrived in Ushuaia, Argentina (USH) a little more than an Hour ago at 16:33. Upon boarding the Livonia at 18:00, you are shown to your Cabin and then given a brief Tour of the Ship. But your Duties as Ship’s Doctor begin almost immediately. .. 1. The Ship ʼ s Thai Chef, Pakhdi, comes to your Clinic at 18:45, looking not a little sheepish. His Lymph Nodes are swollen, but he rapidly adds that they don ʼ t hurt at all. The Conversation continues -- somewhat pointlessly you feel -- until he finally admits that there ʼ s “something” that ʼ s appeared recently. The “something” turns out to be an Ulcer with raised Edges on the Glans of Pakhdi ʼ s Penis, but he rapidly adds that it doesn ʼ t hurt at all, either. Hmm. .. Pakhdi has the Classic Symptom of -- A. • Primary Syphilis. • Since Pakhdi is allergic to Penicillin you give him Tetracycline. B. • Secondary Syphilis. • You give Pakhdi Penicillin G. C. • Tertiary Syphilis. • You give Pakhdi Penicillin G. D. • Extragenital Syphilis. • Since Pakhdi is allergic to Penicillin you give him Doxycycline.
