Unit Outline | MCD2030 Managerial Communication| Introduction Welcome to MCD2030 ‘Managerial Communication’. Throughout the trimester we will focus on theoretical and practical examples of communication within organisations and everyday settings. This unit is designed to develop your awareness of communication issues within organisational settings and your capacity as professionals to communicate effectively. It emphasises the importance of effective communication, both oral and written, introduces models of communication and focuses on communication as a process rather than a transaction. Overall, the unit is designed to provide you with opportunities to explore ways in which intrapersonal, interpersonal, group and organisational communication are experienced within organisations. We hope that you enjoy this unit and gain some knowledge that can be used within the workplace and within everyday life.
