Unformatted text preview: English 161: Taking Issue: Writing Analytically about Ethics and Politics Guidelines and Sign-Up Sheet: Presentations of Chapters and Excerpts from the Texts The Presentations are designed to help us to meet two course objectives: first, to give every-one practice in the necessary skills of paraphrase, summary, and quotation; and second, to make sure everyone is introduced to the full range of questions and issues covered in our two texts: the variety of ethical perspectives and the solutions to which they lend themselves. Each chapter and selection of excerpts will have three presenters, who will need to divide the materi-al amongst themselves more or less equally.
