ME2004 Project(Design and Make) A “Guideline” for Project Journals (also known as -Laboratory Record Book, Laboratory Notebook or Project Record Book) in ME2004 Project(Design and Make) All team members are expected to keep a journal. Failure to keep a journal will result in a loss of 5% of the final grade. In addition to filing a weekly Team Progress Report that describes the activities undertaken by the team, each student is required to keep a “personal” daily Project Journal to record their own activities related to a project. Questions you may have: 1. What do I record in my personal Project Journal? Important things to document or record in the daily journal are: 1. ideas that you may have related to a project design (include sketches), 2. any work that you do personally on a project outside of regular tutorial time (Record what you did so it can be replicated if necessary. A record of something that did not work may ultimately be just as useful as something that did work.) 3.
