Human Capital Paper The Jones-Mills wedding is all planned, now is the time for the team to come to finalize all the plans that were agreed upon. First the team will determine the best approach on how to communicate how well our team is doing from the customer’s perspective and up to top management. The team agreed upon doing the matrix structure to ensure all jobs is accurately annotated so no confusion exists. With every project comes conflict and revisions this paper will show what steps were put in place to correct this. The team will evaluate performance and cover risk, cost, the budget, the completion of the wedding and the managing expectations from the customer viewpoint. Communications Management Many businesses fail because of unrealistic goals or unknown tasks, to alleviate this, a business must rely on communication. Communication management is the process of getting the team’s thoughts and ideas to the other person or party. With the Jones-Mills wedding communication is the key because of the limited amount of time that the team had to complete this project. The way the project manager was able to communicate with Ms. Mills was to be upfront, frank and direct. The team was open for ideas but informed Ms. Mills that once something was agreed upon then that was the way it had to be because of the time allowed. The customer understood and communicated their needs and the team did all they could to ensure all their needs were met. The way the two wedding planners communicated with the top management was by reporting in frequently about what was desired on the part of the customer. Top management discussed some options that might work better and the project manager relayed that information to the customer. Top management is to be kept in the loop for all financial decisions and if any

major change were to happen. Communication is peril and Christie’s Wedding Planners have a good communication talent and respect for all. Project organization structure The project organization structure that was selected is the matrix structure. This structure was selected because it focuses on dividing employees by function and product. Matrix structure focuses on using a team of employees or members to accomplish responsibilities of a project. This structure allows an organization to increase strengths and weaknesses, which is an advantage to our team and the success of the project. In this structure a project manager leads the team during the duration of the project then all members return to their area. Approval for this structure was obtained by researching and defining by comparing alternative structures. After researching our team discussed which structure would best fit the needs of our wedding project. Matrix forms of management can be regarded (arguably) as an early form of 'network' structure.
