ACTALL4/301/2009 2 Dear Student TUTORIAL LETTER 301: INTER-DEPARTMENTAL TUTORIAL LETTER We have pleasure in welcoming you to the School of Accounting Sciences and trust that you will find the modules for which you are registered, interesting and of practical value and that you will be successful in the examination. Studying through distance education is not an easy task and will demand consistent discipline and dedication on your part. We hope that your study experience at Unisa will be both pleasant and stimulating. The purpose of this tutorial letter is to give you some general hints and instructions as to certain aspects not dealt with in the specific 101 tutorial letters. Please read this tutorial letter immediately and make sure that you have it at hand at all times, since you will frequently need to refer to it during the year . You must also carefully study each 101 tutorial letter which you have received upon registration, because these contain important information on the particular modules. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU TAKE COGNISANCE OF THE FACT THAT ALL MODULES HAVE A COMPULSORY ASSIGNMENT THAT WILL GIVE YOU ENTRANCE TO THE EXAMINATION AND THAT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR FINAL MARK FOR THE MODULE. YOU HAVE TO HAND IN THAT ASSIGNMENT BEFORE OR ON THE DUE DATE (SEE PARAGRAPH 4.2).
