In this case, Frasier is dating someone who looks like his mother. Frasiers father and Niles are denying that Mia looks like Frasiers Mom. This is an example of Denial. Denial is when a person is faced with a fact that is too unacceptable so they choose to completely ignore it/disagree. Frasier lets Mia drag him around. This is an example of Regression. Regression is when an individual retreats back to a more infantile psychosexual stage. In this case, Frasier is acting like he is a child again by getting told what to do....
