Taylor Burke Burke 1 Film 201 Fortunato 5 March 2010 The Art of Fundraising When thinking of starting a film, you can’t just start filming. There are many expenses to starting a film and to actually filming. So to be able to start a film you must fundraise and come up with ways to have enough money for the production. A way to first gain money is by of course starting with my friends and family. Even if they know nothing about my production, they generally don’t care if my film will do well. They generally just care for me to do well because they care about me (Fortunato, 1). Then there are people that my friends and family know, known as the rule of three. You go see these friends of friends and right away you tell them that you aren’t asking them from money and you ask them for intros to three different people who might be interested in producing the film. And when you go to those three people you ask for another three people to be introduced to. That way you have a bigger pool of possible
