How I’ve tried to improve your pronunciation: By contrasting Ger/Eng “sh” Later, when we do phonology, I’ll give you some more rules, like when to de-voice d/b/g which may also improve your pronunciation.

How I’ve tried to improve your pronunciation: What can I say about the vowels??? – “i” and “e” with rounded lips for ö and ü – <ä> in long and short environments = <e> – Pronounce them more energetically! (more tensely) – NO diphthongs in German <o> and <e> – A tenser <u>, than in English (<i>, too). – The spelling rules for vowel length (tenseness) should have helped, esp. the exceptions (-st-, -ch-, etc.) – The vocalic <r>!!!! ( der, wir, Ohr, = dea, wia, Oa, etc.)
