Driving on right side of road o How patterns develop Ex. Why we drive on right side o Impact patterns have Rules, safety Kind of patterns o How we interrect (social interaction) o How groups develop, organize, behave (group dynamics) o Community and societal cultural expectations and structure (culture and social structure, e.g. institutions, stratifications) Emphasizes impact of patterns o On people’s attitudes, behavior, and opportunities o How social patterns/groups, cultures and social structures guide, support and contrain people’s attitudes and behavior and opportunities to a very strong degree, more so then we usually are I.E. “our expectations and lives are “contextualized” Sociology as a way of seeing o Raise and answer questions Identities how develop
