1 Course policies Attendance – It is the student’s responsibility to make up course work for missed lectures and missed laboratory sessions • Due to absence with permission or suitable explanation, as indicated in policy of Labs below 1 Course policies Labs – Students will be responsible for completing a three-hour lab from the Departmental Manual – Students are expected to attend all lab sessions, complete all experiments, and submit a lab report for every lab performed Failure to do so will automatically result in a grade of F for the course • Absence from a lab without prior permission or a suitable explanation will result in a grade of zero for that lab and will automatically result in a grade of F for the course 2 Course policies Labs – Lab reports are due one week after the completion of laboratory work – Reports submitted late, without a satisfactory explanation, will incur a penalty of 15% per day 3

2 Course policies Labs – Students are expected to have any pre-laboratory exercises completed before attending the lab – Students failing to do so will be required to complete it before being allowed to start the experiment and will not be awarded extra time to complete the lab. 4 Course policies Late Assignments and Tests – Late assignments will not be accepted without a valid documentation such as a Doctor’s note or a suitable written explanation. – All other late submissions will incur a penalty of 15% per day – Rewrites for missed tests, quizzes and examinations will only be allowed for medical or compassionate reasons and supporting documentation must be provided 5 Course policies Plagiarism – Although students are encouraged to share ideas, all materials submitted for grading must be each student’s own work.
