Jennifer Fernandes The up series April, 8, 2010 25 SUZY The documentary, The up Series features fourteen British children who were chosen from diverse backgrounds and social spheres to discuss their hopes and dreams in the future. Each of the children belongs to different social- class. Several came from the upper class, some from middle class and other came from the lower class. The purpose of the film was to discover whether or not the children had pre- determined lives due to their backgrounds. The director would return every seven years to analyze the progress the children have made in their lives. Each child had their own opinions about how their future will be. The child I found most interesting was Suzy. For this paper, I will observe the different attitudes and behavior of the child, how the child reacts to certain situation in their life, and how their behavior has changed throughout their life. Suzy was one of the few that belonged to the upper class society. We meet the wealthy young girl at the age of seven. Suzy attends a private boarding school for girls. She is a very well spoken young
