Ingersoll’s behavior in the light of day looks as though he was trying to advance his own company by using RTV and their resources. 4. No, I believe Arlington is liable for his own legal expenses, not Western Pioneer. Agents are always liable for their own torts. Even if the tort was committed to benefit the principal, the agent is still liable. In other words, Arlington is responsible for the legal costs. Also, it was Arlington’s choice to sue Western Pioneer therefore any legal expenses incurred by Arlington is there responsibility. 6.
