Growing up in America, I have been witness to many social events which have taken part in the development of my political views. There have also been many people who have tried to persuade me to view the world in a certain way, but no event or person shaped my views in the way the few below have. I have developed mixed political views after seeing the way President Bush reacted after 9/11, the war in Iraq has also contributed to my views, and one last event is a group of students were arrested after carrying on a tradition at my former high school of painting our intersection. After 9/11, the country was in a state of shock, but I supported the actions of President Bush when he made the decision to go into Afghanistan to stop the Taliban and other terrorist organizations from forming more devastating plots against the country. As a citizen with mixed political views, I felt that this move was necessary to show the rest of the world the United States was not going to back down from any type if attack. Many
