Is it stable? Justify your answer (b) Is this an FIR or IIR system? Determine the system’s impulse response. (c) Determine the unit step response of the system. Problem 2 a) determine the characteristic roots of the system, and indicate whether it is stable. b) Determine an analytical expression for the impulse response h(n), , of the system described by the difference equation c) Verify your analytical answer of part b) by means of calculating numer- ically (from the difference equation) and comparing the results to the numerical values obtained from your anlytical expression. Problem 3 A discrete time system is described by the second order difference equation: a) Is the system stable? Explain why.
