Mechanical Experiment Aim The aim of the experiment is to calculate the specific gravity of brass, cork at methylated spirit using measurements of weight of a solid in air, in water and in metheylated spirit. Below is a list of all the apparatus which was used in the experiment Two brass solids Cork Methylated spirit Beaker Cotton A “bridge” to support the beaker Below is a diagram of how the apparatus was set up in order to collect the results. 1of 4
