Luke Wyatt Experiment 103 06/02/07 Experiment 103: Measurement of Resistance using a Wheatstone Bridge Risk Assessment The risks involved with this experiment are outlined below 1. Electrical Experiment Aim The aim of the experiment is to calculate an unknown resistance in a circuit, by using a Wheatstone bridge with 2 other known resistances and a third resistance which is found by using a variable resistor, and taking a measurement when the current is equal into and out of the bridge. Below is a list of all the apparatus which was used in the experiment Unknown resistance unknown R Two known resistances 2 R & 3 R Variable resistor 1 R Electric cell Tapping Key Switch Galvanometer Below is a diagram of how the apparatus was set up in order to collect my results. 1of 4
