Unformatted text preview: Erik Messina Mr. Pursley ENGL 215 6 April 2010 Literary Festival – Josh Bell Poet Josh Bell read five of his poems last Thursday at 356 for Clemson’s Literary Festival. To make a good piece of writing, you must use “just the right words in just the right way” (Mayor Abernathy). Josh Bell started off with “Sleeping with Julia Roberts” which was a somewhat creepy poem about a physical love between the two characters. Josh Bell described Julia Roberts with odd imagery and statements throughout the poem. He moved on to a poem titled “Josh 2: The Return of Josh” which started off being as creepy as “Sleeping with Julia Roberts”, however he ended the poem with a very funny punch line. The poem was about a guy named Josh and all these people thought the person with the red ribbon was josh, however when the figure got closer, the person was not josh and they all started to run away.
