Why are cities segregated? How did immigration affect this pattern? There are five measures of segregation – pick one and explain it by using your city as an example. • Concentration– Degree to which a group lives in a restricted amount of urban space, particularly high-density housing. Highland Park Texas real estate can be extremely expensive. With an average income of $150,000 and a median condo/home price of just under a million dollars, it no surprise that the area was recently rated as one of the wealthiest locations in Texas. Highland Park is land locked and has limited areas of new development, although the current developments are upgraded when needed. This limited amount of space keeps the population of its school and city to a minimum. Texas rates the size of its schools by their population. Almost every school within the Dallas County metropolitan area is rated at the highest rating of 5A. Highland Park high school is 4A. Highland Parks residents are 97% white.
